Martha, now a professional historian, recounts this traumatic experience, drawing on archival research, childhood memories, and conversations with others involved. The book, My Hijacking, explores the fear, denial, and empathy that characterized the hostage crisis and sheds light on the lasting impact it had on Martha's understanding of her own family and childhood sorrows.
